 These are grapefruit mixed with pummelo, a similar citrus fruit. They tend to be whiter skinned than other grapefruit and they are much more sweet due to their low acidity. Other than it's color, it looks just like a grapefruit and if no one told you, you'd assume it was. I'll eat grapefruit any way they come, but for those of you who have to add sugar to yours, then maybe oro blanco would be a good fruit for you since they lack the typical bitter aftertaste of its more acidic relatives. |
