The gold kiwi is very similar in appearance to the green kiwi on the outside with maybe a slightly lighter shade of brown furry skin. They do have a distinguishing hard point at one end of their oblong body, but otherwise the two are doppelgangers. The real surprise is on the inside. The flesh is a rich golden yellow with reddish black seeds and is incredibly sweet like a mix of mango and melon. It has none of the tang of its green cousin. |
