The Valencia Orange was first created in Santa Ana California. The orange was sold to the Irvine Company, who dedicated almost half of their land to its cultivation. Some say that the success of the Valencia led to the naming of Orange County. Valencia oranges have seeds, anywhere from 0 to 6 depending on the size. The orange is good for eating and juicing. Its great taste and internal color makes it a popular fruit. |
